PLANTING GUIDE OF F1 BABY WATERMELON F1 - HI BABY 136

                              (GOLDEN COIN SEEDS)

I/ Feartures:

 - Good vigor, long time harvesting.

 - Harvesting: 44 days after sowing.

 - Fruit size: 8.8 - 9 cm length, 7 - 7.1 cm diameter.

 - Fruit characteristics: round fruit shape, green skin, glossy.

 - Yield: 3,5-4 tons/1000m2.

II/ Sowing density: 

III/ Cropping season:

• South Vietnam: all round year growing.
• North Vietnam: from February to September

IV/ Sowing and planting:

• Sowing seeds direct to the pots and put them in the nursery. These pots have environment including: 2 parts of muck + 1 part of soil. After sowing seeds get filled environment and sufficient moisture for irrigation.
• After 4 – 5 days, seeds germinated (if it’s cold, should if cover the area sowing by white nylon to keep their warm), after 14 – 15 days (seedling have 2 leaves), can be planted in field.

V/ Planting and maintenance:

1. Fertilizers (for 1.000 m²):

Fertilizer application for cultivation depends on geographic conditions, however, we recommend applying the following guides are applied very effectively to many growing areas for you refer and apply.

• Should be applied lime at tillage to increase fertilizer efficiency.

2. Pruning branches:

- Each plant pollinating three flowers, one on the main stem and two others on two lateral branches.

- After plants have fruit 5 – 6 days, selecting the fruit have balance shape, big stalk, no scratches and remove two others.

VI/ Plant protection:

- It usually occurs when the plant begins to flower or small fruit. The plant wilt disease when noon sun, afternoon woke up, a few days after the plant dies.

* Viral disease:

- Diseases transmitted by sucking insects such as thrips, hoppers, aphids,... very harmful in the dry season.

- Preventing and treating: should remove and bury the infected plants, spray the lower side of the leaves with the following chemicals: Chlorpyrifos Methyl (min 96%), Dynotefuran (min 89%), Clothianidin,.../
