Notes:
- Lime should be applied before planting 7 – 15 days (about 100 kg/1.000m2).
- Treated land to prevent ants, crickets ... with chemicals (Diazinon 10%, Deltamethrin 0,05%, Etofenprox 0,15%,...) or spray smelling - pesticide.
- Fertilizing should be together with weeding, bury fertilizer, filled plant foot for their firm, not falling.
- Should fertilizing timely and quantity follow recommended.
IV. Pest, diseases and plant protection:
* Pest:
- Mostly Corn earworm, corn borer, Wireworms, Seed corn maggots...
- Sprayed regularly (5 – 7 days/times) following chemicals: Indoxacarb, Emamectin benzoate (Avermectin B1a 90% +Avermectin B1b 10%) , Chlorantraniliprole, Flubendiamide (min 95%),…
- When after planting 25 – 30 days, should combine prevent Corn earworm, corn borer with grain chemicals put on axillary and tops of plant: Fipronil (min 95%), Diazinon 10%, Deltamethrin 0,05%, Etofenprox 0,15%,… (10 grain per axillary and tops of plant).
* Powdery mildew:
- Is harmful early when the plants have two leaves
- Have to spray prevent and treat (rotation) with the following chemicals: Mancozeb 640g/1kg + Metalaxyl-M 40 g/kg, Fosetyl-aluminium (min 95%), Chlorothalonil (min 98%),…
* Leaf spot, Rust:
- Damaging at mature stage
- Rotating spray the following chemicals: Hexaconazole (min 85%), Difenoconazole 150g/l + Propiconazole 150g/l, Mancozeb (min 85%),.../
