PLANTING GUIDE OF F1 BITTER GOURD SEEDS – WALDO N0.1

                                  (GOLDEN COIN SEEDS)

I/ Features:

- Very vigorous plant, branchy, strong and many effective branches.

- Harvesting: 48 - 50 days after sowing.

- Fruit size: 14.2 - 16.2 cm length, 4.7 - 4.8 cm diameter.

- Fruit characteristics: Short fruit, rib big, dark green skin.

- Yield: 4,5 – 5,0 kg/plant.

III/ Soaking and incubation seeds:

+ Prepare warm water 50 – 52^oC:

- Mixing 40% boiling water (95 – 100^oC) with 60% fresh water (25 – 30^oC) got from drilled well or water faucet.

+ Soaking seeds:

- Soak the seeds in warm water as prepared in 6 – 8 hours.

+ Incubation seeds:

- Get the towel or T – shirt (or fabrics can be moisturizing), washed, squeezed just enough moisture (about 80 – 85%).

- Get the seeds as soaked spread thin on the towels, then put these towels in dark, warm place (around  28 – 30^oC).

+ Sowing seeds:

- After 36 – 40 hours, the seeds will germinate, please sow these seeds in the nursery. Sow the germinated seeds to pots have environment including: 2 parts of muck + 1 part of soil. After sowing seeds get filled environment and sufficient moisture for irrigation.

- Wash the seeds have not germinated and towels then incubated again, about 12 hours later, the seeds will germinate, continue sowing.

IV/ Planting and maintenance:

1. Fertilizers (for 1.000 m²):

- Fertilizer application for cultivation depends on geographic conditions, however, we recommend applying the following guides are applied very effectively to many growing areas for you refer and apply.
