PLANTING GUIDE HYBRID MELON F1 – SUGAR 01

                        (GOLDEN COIN SEEDS)

I/ Feartures:

 - Strong plant.

 - Harvesting: 58 - 65 days after sowing.

 - Fruit size: 8 - 8.5 cm height,  8.7 - 10 cm diameter.

 - Fruit characteristics: small round fruit shape, whitish green skin, white flesh. Briheight: 13 - 14, aroma, crispy.

 - Yield: 2 - 3 kg/plant.

• South Vietnam: all round year growing.
• North Vietnam: from February to September

IV. Soaking and incubation seeds:

* Prepare warm water 50 – 52^oC:

Mixing 40% boiling water (95 – 100^oC) with 60% fresh water (25 – 30^oC) got from drilled well or water faucet.

* Soaking seeds:

Soak the seeds in warm water as prepared in 2 – 3 hours.

* Incubation seeds:

Get the towel or T – shirt (or fabrics can be moisturizing), washed, squeezed just enough moisture (about 80 – 85%).

Get the seeds as soaked spread thin on the towels, then put these towels in dark, warm place (around  28 – 30^oC).

* Sowing seeds:

After 24 hours, the seeds will germinate, please sow these seeds in the nursery. Sow the germinated seeds to pots have enviroment including: 2 parts of muck + 1 part of soil. After sowing seeds get filled environment and sufficient moisture for irrigation.

Wash the seeds have not germinated and towels then incubated again, about 10 hours later, the seeds will germinate, continue sowing.

V. Planting and maintenance:

1. Fertilizers (for 1.000 m²):

Fertilizer application for cultivation depends on geographic conditions, however, we recommend applying the following guides are applied very effectively to many growing areas for you refer and apply.

• Should be applied lime at tillage to increase fertilizer efficiency.

* Notes:

• Fungicide should be sprayed at old leaves, pesticide should be sprayed at young leaves.
